Kenya to the United Arab Emirates

Nairobi Dubai

The hub of the Gulf trade. Flowers by air to Dubai, avocado by reefer to Khor Fakkan, chilled halal goat by air, tea by sea.

The UAE takes seven in ten of Kenya's goat-meat shipments and is the second destination for Kenyan cut flowers. Naz Flowers flies roses and summer flowers from JKIA to Dubai; Beefy's chilled Galla goat and Dorper sheep are quoted to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on request.

Avocado Kenya sails Hass avocado from Mombasa to Khor Fakkan with Maersk, nine to twelve days. Kenya Tea quotes Mombasa-auction CTC tea by sea.

Documents we issue

Every shipment leaves Nairobi or Mombasa with its paperwork. Depending on the product, we issue:

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Certificate of origin
  • Airway bill or bill of lading
  • Phytosanitary certificate (KEPHIS) — flowers, fruit, tea and coffee
  • Halal certificate and veterinary health certificate — meat
  • Temperature data-logger record — reefer containers

Import permits, where the destination requires them, are the buyer's side; we prepare the documents the permit asks for.

Demand, in numbers

71% of Kenyan goat-meat shipments go to the UAE
8,879 shipments of goat meat from Kenya
522 buyers of Kenyan goat meat
  • The UAE is the second destination for Kenyan cut flowers by shipment count, and among the top destinations for Kenyan avocado and tea.
  • Frozen meat into the UAE: Kenya is not among the suppliers. Beefy's chilled halal lane is new — chilled, not frozen.

Questions buyers in UAE ask

How do your products reach UAE?

Flowers and chilled meat fly from JKIA, Nairobi. Avocado, tea and coffee sail from Mombasa in containers. The route section on this page lists the airports and ports we quote to.

What documents arrive with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the certificate the product needs — phytosanitary for flowers, fruit, tea and coffee; halal and veterinary health for meat — plus the airway bill or bill of lading and, for reefer containers, the temperature record.

Do you quote delivered to Dubai?

Yes. Tell us the Incoterm you work with — FOB, CNF, CIF or CIP — and the airport or port, and we quote to it.

Can one shipment carry more than one product?

Air shipments can combine roses and summer flowers on one airway bill. Chilled meat travels on its own. Sea containers carry one product each; we can plan them together.

How do I get today's price?

WhatsApp or the form, with the product, quantity and destination. We reply with a written quotation and the specification attached.

Do you have an office in UAE?

No. We sell from Nairobi, in English, Arabic and Russian, and we answer the same day.

Why Khor Fakkan and not Jebel Ali?

Khor Fakkan is the port Avocado Kenya ships to with Maersk. Jebel Ali is quoted on request.

Chilled or frozen goat?

Chilled, flown within days of slaughter. We do not ship frozen.
